Mia had a lot planned out for her. She is a cello player that was planning on going to Juilliard (I also want to go to Julliard!). Her family is loving and fun one with a little brother, Teddy and two loving parents. One day she met a guy at a concert who also happens to have the same passion for music as she does. Adam and her spend time together and as the romance progresses you can feel the love bloom. Adam is a guitarist for a band called "Shooting Star".
Her entire life was changed by one moment in time... Her family was on the icy highway on Oregon when they crashed. Mia started to have an out-of-body experience the moment when she went unconscious. Her family died in front her (sorta) and she was taken into the ICU. She watched as her relatives came in to see her. Her best friend, Liz, soon came in and at the very, her boyfriend came in.
Through the course of the family and friends coming in she thought about her past. It helped her make her choice. The Choices were: Live or Die?
Live: Go to Julliard (plus more reasons but you have to read to know) Die: Her family was already dead; she would be waking up as an orphan.

At the very end, Her Prince Charming came in and said to her: "If you stay, I'll do whatever you want. I'll quit the band, go with you to New York. But if you need me to go away, I'll do that too. I was talking to Liz and she said maybe coming back to your old life would just be too painful, that maybe it'd be easier for you to erase us. And that would suck, but I'd do it. I can lose you like that if I don't lose you today. I'll let you go. If you stay." And the Princess made her decision...(And I cried...)
